Mac Mini just another piece in the revolution or evolutionary puzzle
Wednesday
January 12, 2004
by : Timothy W. shire
Tisdale : The information age, the electronic age, the age of automation all terms that suggest that we are living in a time when things have changed. They have but we aren't there yet as each critical part of the whole picture is coming into focus. As you are reading this on a computer screen you are yourself part of that revolution and it is a complex combination of hardware, software and user acceptance and capability.

Tim's Tip of the Day

With two more Alberta cows testing positive for BSE, if you're not feeling uncomfortable you should be. Government officials are "downplaying" the gravity of these sick cows but it is time that we became more than a little alarmed. You must realise that a few more cases and it will be clear that the Alberta herd must be eliminated.

Kevin's find of the day

Florida Preacher dies during sermon. ABC News was just one of the dozens of news outlets that carried this Associated Press story about sixty-nine yeear-old Rev. Jack Arnold who died Sunday during his sermon. He had by=pass surgery five years ago and died instantly of a massive heart attack.

Ensign Notes

There is always lots of material to post on this site but there are not always the pictures to make the site what it is intended to be so I put off posting and my procrastination builds up.

.Happenings In Tisdale:

Tisdale Calendar
of Events

Yorkton Harvest start the new year with 4 - 1 win over the Tisdale Trojans
Friday
January 7, 2004
by: Timothy W. Shire
Tisdale : For the last ten minutes of play Yorkton barely touched the puck as the Trojans tried to get back into a game they had lost in the first two periods. Great effort but no cigar. The stands were full of loyal fans and though their team lost it was a thriller right to the last second.
Winter City
Thursday
January 6, 2005
by: Timothy W. Shire
Regina : Regina's hardy residents are attempting to handle the challenge of winter pretty well as they have had a bit of snow between Christmas and New Years and then to start the New Year some crisp temperatures. Today they have temperatures in the teens and are likely to become confused.
The Breaking of some Myths for 2005 and beyond
Thursday
January 6, 2004
by : Mario deSantis
Prince Albert : Without paying attention to some fundamental issues we can very easily come to some very confused conclusions. This story attempts to point out some fo those issues.
Swift Current's New Year's Baby
Wednesday
January 5, 2004
by : Timothy W. Shire
Swift Current : At seven thirty Monday, January 3rd this little girl arrived in Swift Current's hospital making her the first baby of the new year for this southwest Saskatchewan city. The next day three more babies were born as families celebrate each new arrival and all of us can look forward to the days, weeks and years to come.
2005 as it looks from here
Wednesday
December 29, 2004
by : Timothy W. Shire
Tisdale : The tradition continues of taking time at the end of the year to look both forward and back and reflect upon what may be expected.
"May your days be merry and bright and may all your Christmases by white"
Friday
December 24, 2004
by : Timothy W. Shire
Tisdale : With snow falling and the temperature a seasonal -23ºC Tisdale experienced a perfect Christmas eve. For us in this part of Canada every Christmas is a white one but we can easily identify with the nostolga felt for Christmases past.
The miracle of Christmas and the obtuse notions of Paradox and Catch 22 in today’s Economics
Friday
December 24, 2004
by : Mario deSantis
Prince Albert : The is a dramatic need for perspective so that we see things over the long term and grasp the basic concepts of consequences that do not necessary occur simply because some other circumstances may have had some similarities.
As Canadian as
Wednesday
December 22, 2004
by : Timothy W. Shire

Tisdale : If you ask a Canadian what it is to be a Canadian they will mention a number of things but it is almost certain that all will have hockey some where on their list.
George Bush's smarts and the economy
Wednesday
December 22, 2004
by : Mario deSantis
Prince Albert : Last week the Administration of the United States government held a conference on the economy and came up with some amazing decisions as they completely ignore the decline these same policies have already had on both the US and world economy.
Trojans trounce Warriors 6 - 0
Tuesday
December 21, 2004
by : Timothy W. Shire
Tisdale : The long losing streak ended Sunday afternoon when the Trojans played absolutely brilliantly skilled hockey and completely overwhelmed the hard skating and definitely competitive Moose Jaw Warriors.
The Greenwater Report
Tuesday
December 21, 2004
by : Gerald Crawford
Greenwater Provincial Park : The Crawfords are getting ready for Christmas as ice fishing picks up and the work on the TV tower now over a month late is held up even longer by wind conditions.
Stone Geese
Tuesday
December 21, 2004
by : Timothy W. Shire
Tisdale : At the craft fair at the Tisdale mall this past weekend a Nipawin craftsman marketed some truly unusal pets and most of them have found new homes.
Trojans lose number seven in a row
Sunday
December 19, 2004
by : Timothy W. Shire
Tisdale ;The Trojans have fallen on hard luck in their last six games as they have been losing by a point a game up until last night when they were delivered a sound defeat by the Moose Jaw Warriors in a 6 - 3 game. In this picture Kyle Caragan leads a third period drive, one of many to even up the loop-sided score.
If we can redefine marriage, can we also redefine Christmas?
Sunday
December 19, 2004
by : Ron Thornton
Edmonton : Though I am certain what Ron Thornton is describing has already occured and we haven't realised it, he makes the point that taking age old traditions and modifying them will reduce their value and make them less relavent.
Today’s sarcastic comics in economic correlations: Bush meets Berlusconi
Sunday
December 19, 2004
by : Mario deSantis
Prince Albert : Things are not going economically as one might like but certainly they are consequences of very bad management and advise. Mario's story today gives a whole new meaning to the term "go long".
The monster
Saturday
December 18, 2004
by :Ttimothy W. Shire
Tisdale : Thursday afternoon the G5 arrived and for the rest of the day and Friday it was time to transfer data and install applications. Saturday is the first full day of operations and it has been interesting. 8 inches wide, 18 inches deep, 21 inches tall and weighing in at several tonnes this is the biggest computer I have ever seen but its bigness is not physical, this thing is a weapon.
