Tim's Tip of the Day |
Courage is about knowing and accepting the danger present but forging ahead to accomplish a difficult task that needs to be done because of the merits of the task which out weigh the inherent dangers involved.Few politicians ever rise to this definition of courage. |

- EI Account shorted $13 billion
- Thursday
June 18, 2009
by: Joe Hueglin
Niagara Falls Ontario: When Paul Martin was running Canada's finances he increeased the qualifications and reduced benefits because of the tight money but thereafter the whole programme built up a huge surplus. The government simply grabbed that money and now in a recession they do not have the money to put into fair and equal treatment for all unemployed Canadians.

- House number twelve
- Tuesday
June 16, 2009
by: Timothy W. Shire
Tisdale: Begun on June 2nd, this house just south of the CN tracks on the southwest corner of town was fully standing yesterday and today the interior walls were all set in place. Meanwhile house nine has its garage and work on its second story and house eight had its rafters in place today. The pace of construction in Tisdale is not slowing one bit as there are more projects awaiting their beginnings.

- The Greenwater report
- Monday
June 15, 2009
by: Gerald Crawford
Greenwater Lake Provincial Park: This is a vintage Greenwater report as the Crawfords have been camping spended a few days at the park then on to Nipawin. This report includes some serious discussions about mercury levels in fish from Marean Lake and other coffee row words of confounding wisdom. There is also a report on Logan's birthday party and the huge Good Sam Samboree at Nipawin.

- Keep Canada's nuclear ploughshares
- Friday
June 12, 2009
by: Joe Hueglin
Niagara Falls Ontario: the Prime Minister very much on his own has decided to divide up and sell of Canada's AECL, the developer of the CANDU reactor and now the man has decided Canada is getting out of the production of medical isotopes. With a minority government and lacking a mandate from the public to do anything it would seem the prime minister is overstepping his domain a tad.

by: Timothy W. Shire
Tisdale: From the time a lot is cleared and digging begun until the walls go up can vary considerably from project to project. In a few day the walls for house twelve will be standing and today we tell you about the development of house number seven.

- Its all about forests and trees
- Tuesday
June 9, 2009
by: Timothy W. Shire
Tisdale: When considering the problem of the "bigger picture" people sometimes say that a confused individual "can't see the forest for the trees". Its an interesting problem especially when we have both the public and their government unable to figure out what is happening and we might consider that they have to many trees in their view.

- Isotopes a sexy issue
- Tuesday
June 9, 2009
by: Dr. Phyllis Wagg
West Bay Nova Scotia: There is the common belief that people enter public life as a way of giving back to their society. It comes as a shock to see Conservative cabinet ministers view their role as a personal thing and seem to disregard the duty they have to those who elected them and the people of the country to whom they are responsible.

- Waskelly witto wabbits
- Monday
June 8, 2009
by: Darlene McCullough
Tisdale: We are used to seeing the odd big Jack Rabbit dashing through the neighbourhood but lately the town has had smaller and less nervous visitors. Almost every part of town we are seeing brave rabbits usually only one at a time but on Sunday Darlene had three of these guys in her yard and they were not particularly preturbed at her being present.

- Replacing water line
- Thursday
June 4, 2009
by: Timothy W. Shire
Tisdale: Each year the Town of Tisdale removes at least two blocks of cast water line and replaces it with plastic lines. The plastic lines are less affected by the chemical composition of the soil and slowly street by street Tisdale's water system is being upgrade to prevent frequent corrosive breaks.

They spend the winter in Mexico and as far south as Venezuela then make their way all the way up to the Yukon but also nest here in Saskatchewan, Alberta and Montana.

- Monday
June 1, 2009
by: Helen carson
Crooked River: These remarkably brightly coloured birds net east of the Rockies and usually on the great central plains, though seen occassionally this far north the numbers seen this year is an indicator of a shift in their nesting grounds to push a little further north than usual.

- Playing blind man's bluff costly
- Wednesday
May 27, 2009
by: Eugene Parks
Victoria British Columbia: Canadians remember the outrageous spending during the Mulroney years and the austere time that had to follow to get the government's finances in order. Now after telling that things are fine to get elected the economist Prime Minister heads up a government with an expected budget deficit of more than $50 billion.
|
- Turbulent Times
- Tuesday
May 26, 2009
by:Timothy W. Shire
Tisdale: Did you know the Prime Minister of Canada is an economist by profession? The former President of the United States was the first person to hold that position and have a masters degree in business administration. It is important to point out that under theeir leadership the world has slipped into the worst recession since the 1930s.
|
- The Greenwater report
- Monday
May 25, 2009
by:Gerald Crawford
Saskatoon: All four seasons in one week have put all Saskatchewan people to the test but Gerald has discovered some exotic yellow flowers and even weeds growing in some Saskatoon lawns. The Crawfords have a new patio and a fuse problem resolved problems with the motor home. But life stands still for garage sales.

Its coming up
Monday
May 25, 2009
by: Timothy W. Shire
Tisdale: Recession or no recession Saskatchewan is about the annual crop that gets planted and how it progresses until it is harvested. This year's crop is mostly planted and right in the Tisdale immediate area the crop is emerging from the grown to begin its preductive life.
