Tisdale : The
long losing streak ended Sunday afternoon when the Trojans played absolutely brilliantly

Moose Jaw Warriors.

Tim's Tip of the Day
|
In every part of social life there are
those who lead and those who expect others to lead. It is remarkably important to
understand that responsibility is a shared thing. |
Kevin's
find of the day

Board game lets
players run marijuana farm This AP story is only
one of many in magazines, newspapers and television about a board game developed
by a guy while in prison and now on the market called Grow-op |
Ensign Notes

- Trojans
lose number seven in a row
- Sunday
December 19, 2004
by : Timothy W. Shire
Tisdale ;The
Trojans have fallen on hard luck in their last six games as they have been losing
by a point a game up until last night when they were delivered a sound defeat by
the Moose Jaw Warriors in a 6 - 3 game. In this picture Kyle Caragan leads a third
period drive, one of many to even up the loop-sided score.

- If we can redefine marriage, can we also redefine Christmas?
- Sunday
December 19, 2004
by : Ron Thornton
Edmonton :
Though I am certain what Ron Thornton is describing has already occured and we haven't
realised it, he makes the point that taking age old traditions and modifying them
will reduce their value and make them less relavent.

- Today’s sarcastic comics in economic correlations: Bush meets Berlusconi
- Sunday
December 19, 2004
by : Mario deSantis
Prince Albert
: Things are not going economically as one might like but certainly they are consequences
of very bad management and advise. Mario's story today gives a whole new meaning
to the term "go long".

- Saturday

by :Ttimothy W. Shire
Tisdale : Thursday
afternoon the G5 arrived and for the rest of the day and Friday it was time to transfer
data and install applications. Saturday is the first full day of operations and it
has been interesting. 8 inches wide, 18 inches deep, 21 inches tall and weighing
in at several tonnes this is the biggest computer I have ever seen but its bigness
is not physical, this thing is a weapon.

by : Timothy W. Shire
Tisdale : The
reliability of voice over IP (telephone on the Internet) has come of age with AOL's
messenger and Apple's iChat. Years ago we tried the idea out but now it is
a practical everyday means of communication and it just makes sense to move to the
next level with a dedicated web cam for that purpose.

- On
its way! Corporate-controlled, profit-maximizing, farmer-restricting system
- Tuesday
December 15, 2004
by: Joyce Neufeld
Waldeck : The
major varietys of wheat and barley were developed by government researchers and university
programmes but in the last three decades government has decided to turn over the
agricultural industry to the massive corporations. Now they will call the shots at
$15 an acre in perpetuity.

- Tuesday
December 14, 2004
by : Timothy W. Shire
Tisdale :
Saturday morning the whole Tisdale Trojan team were on hand at the Beeland Co-op
cafeteria serving pancakes and sausage to a full house as part of their annual charity
work in their community.

- Bush evoking
World War II
- Tuesday
December 14, 2004
by : David Orchard
Borden : Mr.
Orchard explains the complete silliness of the American president's reference to
Mackenzie Kings statements during World War II. It make us all shudder to realise
the remarkable lack of awareness that is so much a part of the leader of the the
world's most aggressive and heavily armed nation.
|
- CIA Documents Cast New Light on Washington's Role in Venezuela
- Tuesday
December 14, 2004
by : Mark Weisbrot
Washington ;
This story is one of those confirmations of what most non-Americans expected, In
fact for the past five decades this is the standard behaviour of the United States
of America, its only a surprise to its citizens.

- The Greenwater
Report
- Tuesday
December 14, 2004
by : Gerald Crawford
Greenwater Provincial Park : The ice fishing season may have begun and there is enough snow at
the park for some snow mobiling. Jenny is taking part in the Breast Cancer snowmobile
marathon ride and you can pitch into that project.

- House
Cleaning
- Thursday
December 9, 2004
by : Timothy W. Shire
Tisdale : Yesterday
was the last day of this house's life as it was destroyed today. One was crunched
Saturday and another will be dust tomorrow as lots are cleared to make way for new
houses in established neighbourhoods.

- Nuclear
Power is not safe, it is not clean, it is not economical
- Thursday
December 9, 2004
by : Mario deSantis
Prince Albert
: Emotions run very high about this topic but we need to step back from the noise
and check the facts. The proponents of this industry gloss over the glaring and utterly
overwhelming dangers of the past, all of which avoided the ultimate disaste,r which
is not just possible, but is inevitable.
