Tim's Tip of the Day
|
Things don't look good, the provincial
government's decision not to negotiate a teachers agreement seems set to produce
a full scale province wide walk out of the teaching force that could occur late this
week or early next. |
Kevin's
find of the day
|
Gas bonanza shakes
dust from Western towns
Todd Wilkinson of the Christian Science Monitor describes the huge
development in the Wyoming oil patch produced by the remarkable rise in oil prices
which makes marginal fields profitable. |

- Conservative
leaders' rhetoric does not match reality
- Tuesday
April 12, 2005
by : Maarjaleena Repo
Saskatoon : With
talk of another election and the Harper crowd pompously pointing fingers at the Liberals
and their little Quebec scandal it is important to recall that down right cheating
is not the exclusive preserve of the former Liberal government and the opposition
itself is a party formed in a corrupt and deceitful manner.
|
- Saskatchewan politicians catch up to the people
- Tuesday
April 12, 2005
by : Edwin Wallace
Success : With
a teacher's strike looming the provincial government and opposition backed down on
their plan to increase their own wages. But Mr. Wallace points out that this is just
poor leadership and at the same time Saskatchewan's welfare recipients and farmers
are left to make do as best they can.
|
- Gomery, Liberals, and political alternatives - or their
lack
- Tuesday
April 12, 2005
by : Brian marlatt
White Rock B.C.
:Politics makes for strange bedfellkows and that certainly is the case as talk of
a June election is stirring the Opposition party to crank up its campaign machinery.
But realistically there are a lot of voters who have no political party left to support
and thus we had the inconclusive results last year, nothing really has changed.

- When
politics parts with reality
- Wednesday
April 6, 2005
by : Edwin Wallace
Success : Mr.

simple refusal by the Premier to do anything to support agriculture which is in its
most dire condition since confederation.
