It was all avoidableWednesdayJuly 14, 2004
 by : Kevin McIntyre
 Arborfield :
It seems that we are so often inclined to describe an incident as an accident when
it just may be that a sequence of circumstances and conditions are bound to produce
a negative result. In this story our writer does not have first hand infromation
on this specific event but as a former farm boy and shareholder in a local dehydration
plant his is familiar with the equipment and procedures that cost a young man his
				life.

				 A
				show of forceTuesdayJuly 13, 2004
 by : Timothy W. Shire
Tisdale to Gravelbourg and back : While we did not get the thumping the folks in Alberta had to endure
we certainly had the skies that told of immense power and this slide show (2MB) samples
the sky scenes from last Thursday until this morning.

				 Already the sleaze
				starts leaking outThursdayJuly 8, 2004
 by : Rebecca Gingrich
 Princeton, Ontario
: The Liberal government has been and will continue to be the government and old
habits are hard to break. $3000 a month is what you have to get by on if you have
				a ministeral or assistant job.

				 The
Answer Is In the Senate, But No One In The East
Is Asking The QuestionWednesdayJuly 7, 2004
 by : Ron thornton
 Edmonton : Many
of the age old solutions that have been put forward to produce some equity and fairness
in the way Canada is governed include such things as free votes in parliament and
fixed election dates. Mr. Thornton points out that an elected land representative
				Senate would do the trick.

				 In the cold light
				of dawnWednesdayJuly 7, 2004
 by : David Orchard
 Borden : It didn't
work, the PC party was destroyed so that the right could be united and Canadians
said "no". The Liberals handed the election to the opposition on a platter
but because of the ideological hardline right Harper and his gang did no better than
				in the past.

				 Reform
				failed againTuesdayJuly 6, 2004
 by : Brian Marlatt
 Whiterock B.C.

  Messages
from France, sixty years after "D" DayThursdayJuly 1, 2004
 by: Bernard de Maussion
 Mondeville, France
: When Canadian armed forces landed on Juno and Sword beach in Normandy in 1944 they
made history, many of them died but through their efforts the German occupation forces
was hurled back into the low countries. The people of France remember that sacrifice
and Bernard de Maussion has sent us eleven local newspaper clippings telling of "D"

while Chupa Excavation developed a parking lot on the west side of the Golden Age
Centre and the first floor of the new condominium is taking shape on the southeast
