Tim's Tip of the Day

Keep in mind when you see young people smoking that with the potency of present day tobacco products, this is not just a harmless habit, it is a serious life long addiction that is far more dangerous than many drugs now illegal under the law.

Kevin's find of the day

Russian Teenager Kidnaps Boy for $7 Ransom This amazing story gives us some insight in to life inside Russia and its not a pretty sight.

Ensign Notes

It warmed up today and a lot of snow turned to water, almost like a spring run off.

of Events

Coffee in the Mall
Friday
October 22, 2004
by : Timothy W. Shire
Tisdale : No one is crying the blues at the Tisdale Mall since the closing of the west anchor of the operation. Instead the mall businesses have just pulled out the stops to make the mall shoping experience even better. Tattered Corners has added coffee to its sales.
The silver time machine
Thursday
October 21, 2004
by : Timothy W. Shire
Tisdale : The camera in one form or another has been around for more than a century and a half and during that time the magic of silver crystals have captured the light and shadows of the past. In those light and shadows we can find significant evidence of what once was and what life was like when that light was rendered onto paper, glass or plastic. (This story may have to be withdrawn as some one has complained that the images used are not in the public domain and are his, attempts are being made to determine this as fact)
No Ice Cream
Wednesday
October 20, 2004
by : Timothy W. Shire
Tisdale : When the Beeland decided to build its cardlock on the former hatchery property a Dairy Queen franchise owner bought this lot between the Co-op Cardlock and 7-11.
The Greenwater Report
Tuesday
October 19, 2004
by : Gerald Crawford
Greenwater Provincial Park : With businesses closed and harvest all but over our man at the park is suffering from what he calls "coffee withdrawal". As winter settles in its time for a fall fair or two and time to reflect on the harvest.
Today's perception of democracy: understanding the economics of whims from the economics of needs
Tuesday
October 19, 2004
by : Mario deSantis
Prince Albert : At the heart of this complex story Mr. deSantis is concerned at the awarding of the Nobel prize for economics to two rather mundaine professors, one in California and the other in Arizona. The issue of what is better for the world is really what this is about and with many outstanding references you have the opportunity in this story to find out some truths for yourself.
Romeo Dallaire at the University
Monday
October 18, 2004
by : Michael Townsend
Kamloops : This man made it high on the list of Great Canadians in the CBC project and is considered by all who have met him as the true Canadian hero of our time. Michael Townsend shares with us his thoughts on the General's speech at Thompson Rivers University this past week.
These clouds do not come in peace
Friday
October 15, 2004

Friday
October 8, 2004
by : Timothy W. Shire

Let there be lights
Thursday
October 7, 2004
by : Timothy W. Shire

Big Potatoes
Wednesday
October 6, 2004
by : Donna LaRochelle
Gravelbourg : There are gardeners who deliberately set out to create really big versions of their plants but this was not the case at a farm eight miles north of Gravelbourg where two hills of potatoes weighed thirteen pounds.
Kerry’s vision of ‘change position’ and Bush’s vision of ‘certainty’
Wednesday
October 6, 2004
by : Mario deSantis
Prince Albert : Television commentators would not voice their comments about the success or failure of each candidate in last week's debate until they got the poll results to tell them what to think.
