.Happenings In Tisdale:
|
|
- There is no such thing as limited war
-
-
- Monday
September 11, 2006
by : Timothy W. Shire
Tisdale : What happened five years ago will be discussed for perhaps another hundred years and the response to what happened is changing the attitudes and the concepts all people have about conflict, big or small. Today we discuss this change and try to deal with what we are now accepting as appropriate behaviour.
|
- Afghanistan
-
-
- Monday
September 11, 2006
by : Bev Currie
Swift Current : Here is a very simple but also very convincing argument in favour of an immediate withdrawal of Canadian Forces from Afghanistan.
|
- Water Treatment Plant making progress
-
-
- Friday
September 8, 2006
by : Timothy W. Shire
Tisdale : Not the kind of spectacular project that was anticipated the buidling of the new water treatment plant has been a limited skilled tradesman affair that has just ambled along out there behind the trees.
|
- Bravado, Bluff or Blarney? Reform-Party Policy Visits the Senate Committee
-
-
- Friday
September 8, 2006
by : Robert Ede
Thornhill, Ontario : Prime Minister Harper and his former Reform/Alliance government seem to have a very poor understanding of both the present constitution and how changes might correctly be made to the system. Mr. Ede attempts to set them straight on the finer points of Canadian constitutional law.
|

|
- Big Truck: Perkins
-
-
- Thursday
September 7, 2006
by : Timothy W. Shire
images by : T. shire & Jo Lukinchuk
Tisdale : To us this 94 wheelled giant is a remarkable sight but it is just everyday stuff for the Northfield Minnesota trucking company. This sort of thing is what Perkins does, in a rather big way.
|

-
-
- Taste, touch, sight, sound. . .

-
- Monday
September 4, 2006
by : Timothy W. Shire
Tisdale : While waiting to catch a moving picture of a big truck I shot a short ten minute video of the intersection of highways 3 and 35. That video is pretty revealing and is part of this story.
